ORUniversal Music Group (UMG) and TikTok have announced a new “ multi-dimensional” licensing agreement that will allow TikTok’s billion users to reuse music from some of the world’s most-followed singers, including Rosalía, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Harry Styles, in their videos. The two companies have explained that they are working to bring the music of artists represented by Universal Music Group back to TikTok.

As part of the agreement, both organizations will work belarus number data together to develop new monetization opportunities using TikTok’s growing e-commerce capabilities and collaborate on campaigns to support UMG artists across genres and territories globally.
TikTok has explained that it will continue to invest in building artist-focused tools that will help UMG artists. Tools like “Add to Music App,” enhanced data and analytics, and integrated ticketing capabilities seek to benefit artists, both financially and in building their fan bases.
Additionally, TikTok and UMG will work together to ensure that AI development in the music industry protects human artistry and the economics that flow to those artists and songwriters. TikTok is also committed to working with UMG to remove unauthorized AI-generated music from the platform , as well as tools to improve artist and songwriter attribution.
