How to pay off tax debt

Post by monira444 »

You can pay off your debts in the following ways:

On the website or in the FTS of Russia application . Go to the "Taxes" section, where all current debts will be reflected. Under each of them there is a "Pay" button. After clicking it, a payment form opens, where you need to enter your bank card details and pay the tax by bank transfer (no commission is charged for the payment). If you have available funds, you can transfer them to a single tax account (STA), from which accrued taxes will be written off automatically in the future.

Via Gosuslugi . On the portal page or in the application, you can also pay your tax debt using a bank card in the "To pay" section, or use the "Payment by receipt" service. To generate a payment receipt, you will need a unique payment identifier (UIN) - a 20 or 25-digit code that is indicated in the tax notice.

Bank application . If the data on accrued taxes is sent to the exit mobile number database bank automatically, look for it in the "Payments" section. Otherwise, you can pay them through the application by scanning the QR code on the generated or paper receipt, or using the UIN.

Other online services. You can pay taxes on the same services that provide information on charges by TIN. However, third-party services often include an additional commission in the payment amount.

At any bank or post office branch, if tax notices arrive by registered mail in paper form.

Until what date are taxes paid?
All contributions accrued for the previous year must be paid by December 1 (inclusive) of the current year. You should not postpone payment until the last days, as payment systems are often overloaded on these dates, and information about it may arrive later than the deadline.

Consequences of non-payment of taxes
In the event of a debt, the Federal Tax Service sends non-payers demands for its repayment:

In the next 3 months - if the debt amount exceeds 3,000 rubles;

Within 1 year - if the debt amount is from 500 to 3000 rubles.

The demand also specifies the period for payment of the debt: as a rule, it is up to 8 days.

How much penalty is charged for late tax payment?
The Federal Tax Service also applies penalties to defaulters. They include the accrual of fines and penalties. The amount of the penalty is 1/300 of the key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the amount of debt per day of delay, if its period does not exceed 30 days. After the expiration of the thirty-day period, the penalty increases to 1/150 of the key rate.
