11% perceive emojis in emails negatively, and it was repeatedly stated that their use appears unprofessional.
And what about the subject line? Here, our respondents somewhat undermine the proclaimed benefits of personalization , because almost 67% of respondents do not have any effect on the subject line, and 9% even perceive it negatively. However, for 22% of respondents, this is a positive aspect that makes them open the email.

Less than 10% of respondents read the entire email from start to finish, but most only skim through or scan the beginning. So focus on impactful editorials and strong calls to action, and leave the writing work to students.
According to the responses, the exception is emails from popular brands that provide industry information, advice and tips - respondents often read such messages in their entirety.
This is also confirmed by the responses of those surveyed to the content. Discounts and useful advice are more or less balanced, while new products in the range are slightly lacking.
