E-commerce search – transactional queries

Post by samiaseo222 »

Transactional queries in e-commerce often indicate a high level of intent to purchase or complete a purchase. These queries are often focused on specific products or services, indicating that the user is close to making a purchase decision. In our AI models, we refer to this group of users as “customers”—individuals who already know what they want but are looking for the best way to purchase. While AI can significantly influence user preferences for more general queries, when users are moving toward a direct purchase, specific brands and e-commerce sites still need to be engaged.

For the query on Christmas gifts for men for kuwait mobile database 2025, a positive feature was that all the websites cited in SearchGPT's answer were published or updated (or so they claim) within the last month.

"Best Holiday Destinations 2025"

As with many other travel queries, SearchGPT displayed a stack of images above the results carousel. The selection of destinations here was truly diverse. Citations were heavily focused on publishers, along with several travel companies and travel blogs in the search results section. It’s clear that SearchGPT is choosing sources to offer a broad perspective on a given topic.

"Abu Dhabi Grand Prix"

Sports tourism is on the rise, and Formula 1 is one of the most popular sports worldwide. However, searching for specific races is more complicated. A search like “[location] grand prix” can have several meanings: it can be an informational query, a navigational query, or a search with commercial intent and an attempt to find out ticket prices. SearchGPT seems to understand this diversity and provides links to five websites that cover these different perspectives, without giving too much priority to the informational or transactional nature. This result was similar for other queries about Grand Prix races, such as the Bahrain GP, the Belgian GP, or the Singapore GP. In my view, LLM platforms in the field of tourism have the potential to significantly disrupt this area.
