simplify things to speak to everyone but by

Post by jrineakter »

And the first thing I decided to do was to limit my exposure to low-end news, the news that you can sometimes read online because the media and politicians try to capture our attention, they oversimplify everything, that is to say they try tosimplifying

things, well they do not give the true and concrete and complete information. And the news, journalists are forced to deal with subjects that are very complex. So it is difficult to be objective when you want to simplify things that are very complex.

And a very good example of that, for me, is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which is extremely complex. It's a subject that could be debated and talked about for hours and hours and hours.

And I thought, "Rather than looking at cheap articles, why not read books written by experts on both sides, historians, people who are very familiar with everything that happened on both sides." Because in this kind of event or in this kind of conflict, there are bound to be people who don't think the same way. It's obvious and it's completely logical. So by choosing your sources carefully, you can get a picture that's closer to reality. So I've already gotten hold of books written by experts on both sides, people who are affected on the Palestinian side, people who are affected on the Israeli side, and I'm trying to read about it.

But this is really an example to say that we can very well... by removing for example here or by significantly reducing exposure to low-end news, well we can free up time to do something else.

What I'm also going to limit is the constant checking that I was doing on WhatsApp and Telegram. In fact, I use my phone very little, but I tend to communicate a lot with my friends, my partners and the members of the Français Authentique team via WhatsApp and Telegram. And I tend sometimes, in the middle of my morning, to look and suddenly... so to look at messages, to spend time recording audios etc. So that, I intend now to avoid these interruptions and to do it only malaysia whatsapp number data twice a day for example, two or three times a day. And that will save me a lot of time.

The idea is to have clarity, because when you have clarity, everything becomes easier. You just have to decide what you think is most productive for you and limit the rest. So I decided that I wanted to read more and so I limit my consumption of news and WhatsApp and Telegram groups, quite simply.

And here, of course, I'm not telling you all this to convince you to spend your days reading or to try to copy my 2 hours a day. We all have different goals, we are in different phases of life. I think I will read a lot more when I retire for example. We have different obligations. So that's not the idea.

The idea or my goal is to make you understand that we all have 24 hours in our day. The President of the United States has 24 hours, I have 24 hours, you have 24 hours, everybody has 24 hours. And it's really up to us to choose how we use them, it's up to us to set our priorities, it's up to us to choose the things that are worth our time and the things that are not. And it's all about decision and choice in the end.
