Title tags and meta descriptions.

Post by kexej28769@nongnue »

Then what you can do to change that is to see if there's something you can do differently to present that kind of information. What kind of things doesn't your business want? Are you definitely not saying these things in your website content? Or is there a way you can present the opposite opinion to what people are looking for, for example? So think about it from a content perspective.

Then the next thing is title tags and meta descriptions. Title tags and meta descriptions should never be written once and forgotten. If you’re that kind of SEO, you probably go into each one every once usa number data a while and try to tweak those title tags and meta descriptions. But the problem is, sometimes there are just a few that aren’t performing. So go into Google Search Console, find title tags that have low click-through rates and high rankings, and then think about what you can do to test new ones.

Then run an AdWords campaign and test those title tags in the ad title. Test the new ad copy - these will be your meta descriptions - and see what actually gets you a higher click-through rate. Then whatever, ta-da, these are your new title tags and your meta description. Then add them and then watch your click-through rate increase or decrease.

Make sure to look at these rankings, because obviously title tag changes can impact your rankings. But if it’s something that’s keyword-rich, that’s great. I personally like to play around with meta descriptions, because I think meta descriptions have a bigger impact on that click-through rate than title tags, and it’s really important to think about how we’re making it unique so that people want to click on us. The best meta description I’ve ever seen in my life was for an SEO company, and it was number one.
