who shared with me problems they had

Post by jrineakter »

So, once again, mentoring, advising, sharing things that we learn, is also beneficial for us in fact. So, it's a mission that I set for myself, while I have for a long time, but it is more and more close to my heart, it is to share my opinions, my knowledge, to advise others, my loved ones in particular. And in general, people or my loved ones like to ask me for advice because, inevitably since I am not 100% in their situation, well I can detach myself from emotions, that is to say I can give them a 100% rational side.

We were talking about this a few weeks ago, when I was explaining to you that it was a bad idea to think or to try to think or to decide something when you had emotions , well it's the same thing here. I can advise others because I'm not affected from an emotional point of view. And sometimes... and this is... if you want to mentor someone, the best advice I can give you is this. Sometimes, you just have to know how to listen and show that you understand.

On several occasions, I have… I think of two friends in particular The first, it was a problem in his business. The second, it was a slightly more personal problem, his personal life, life as a couple. Well, each time, the fact of listening, of showing that I had understood, was already 90% of the work. Afterwards, the fact of giving a little of my opinion, that helps. But sometimes, mentoring is just knowing how to listen well in fact.

And so, I do it every day with my children because who better to mentor than my own children. I try to do it with my family, my loved ones, my mother, my brother, the members of the Authentic French Academy , especially those I meet in the Zoom room 24 hours a day when I go there and we talk, I try to give my opinion, so, to mentor them. I have several friends that I listen to, that I help and to whom I turn when I myself have problems.

And recently, I helped a friend's son for the first time. So, he's a friend who has a business and who has a son who is in the second year of high school, so, who must be 16, I think, and this 16-year-old son had an internship to do. And so, my friend asked me: "Do you want to give him a little mission?" So, I gave him a little mission to japan whatsapp number data help him. I tried to give him the context, why I gave him this mission, tried to show him the behind the scenes. So, it's a gift of time. Sometimes, we think that, to be generous, we have to give money, and it's good to do that if we can, but if we can, in addition to giving money, give time and expertise, I think that it's even better from a contribution and meaning point of view in fact. So, it's something that I'm really trying to do as much as possible and I'm only at the beginning obviously.

I am incredibly lucky. I am healthy, my family is healthy. I have never experienced a terrible tragedy in my life, which would be atypical, which would be something that people do not normally encounter. I was born in 1982 and not in 1882, so it was a good time in which there was no war, at least not in the place where I lived. I was born in France, which is a developed country, in which I have a good education at school, a good education through my parents. So, I am incredibly lucky, really. And this incredible luck, it was given to me because my mission is to contribute.

There is a great idea. I think it is a Christian idea, but it must be found in many other religions and philosophies, that when one has received a lot, well one must give a lot. And it seems obvious that those who have received a lot give a lot. And again, giving can be manifested in different senses.

And I know that one thing that… or the place where I have contributed the most is Français Authentique, because the tools that we have access to, that we have access to, YouTube, the podcast, emails, well it allows us to share our ideas and help people as much as possible. So, I really intend to continue to do it, to contribute as much as possible both through these media, YouTube, the podcast, emails, but also live, face to face. And I imagine myself doing it a little more when my children are older because it is something, I think, that is logical, that I like to do, and I think I also have an ability to do it.

I remember, in 2000… ah, it must have been in 2018, I think, I went to Marrakech and I was asked to volunteer in a school. So, I went, I entered several classes, I was asked lots of questions and I contributed in my own way. And if I can help even five people, even one person, if I can change a life in this kind of travel, well it was worth it in fact.

And I remember a teacher I had when I was about 20 years old… no, I was a little under 20, I was… yes, yes, maybe… about 20, and who actually… He gave classes and he was the one who told us: “Yes, but actually, if you want to succeed, you have to read, you have to read personal development books. I recommend Dale Carnegie’s book… which I didn’t know… How to Win Friends and Influence People? So, it’s How to Win Friends and Influence People, in English. Comment se faire des amis , in French.”
