I thought an hourly wage was cool
In the beginning, I always charged hourly wages.

But not for very long.

I quickly realized that it wasn't the real thing.

Why?

Because I was caught in the trap again. This trap is called: "I trade time for money."

Yet my goal was to escape honduras telegram screening this trap, this hamster wheel, through freelancing.

I wanted to make money, not for the hours I put in, but for the work I did, so I started charging per project.

There is no conflict with the interests of the client. If I charge an hourly rate, then the assumption is that I will take as much time as possible to increase my wages. But if I am paid per project, then the client knows that I will not waste time.

The biggest advantage, however, is that the customer does not know my hourly rate. He does not know how much time I need to write three pages. He only knows how much he will pay for the three pages. This way you avoid the unpleasant discussion: "75 euros an hour is a bit high, isn't it?"
