Transformation of the information security budget with the transition to remote work
The global trend today is as follows: information security budgets are frozen or even reduced. Complex, long-term, expensive or non-obvious information security projects from the point of view of business benefits are frozen, since in the conditions of the pandemic, almost all sectors of the economy have sagged and businesses are not able to allocate funds for something that does not bring quick returns. No changes are expected until companies return to the pre-crisis level. But even with the general reduction of information security budgets, they are redistributed in favor of supporting remote access. Cisco, in turn, notes the growing interest in the financial products of its Cisco Capital division, which can offer various schemes for financing customer projects, for example, lending or leasing.
