Hootsuite and Buffer

Post by Mitu100@ »

My combinations of social media planning tools
Over the years I have always used social media planning tools and have tried out different ones. Here are some of them:

For a long time I used both of the "old ladies" of social media planning tools. I used both free of charge. With Hootsuite (it was still possible back then) I managed two Twitter accounts, a cyprus telegram screening Facebook page, a private Facebook profile and XING . I used Buffer extensively for this, especially during times when I tweeted a lot. I simply pushed the posts to be curated into Buffer so as not to annoy my followers with too much information in too short a time.

Post Planner and Edgar
Then came a phase in which I became increasingly annoyed by the limitations of the free version of Buffer and Hootsuite. In addition, the planning function in Hootsuite in particular was becoming increasingly cumbersome. I am a big fan of English, but the week starts on Sunday and the 12-hour clock - I never really got used to that. So I had to find something else - and that was the combination of Post Planner and Edgar.

I still think Post Planner is pretty chic, I like the clear user interface a lot - but only two networks (Facebook and Twitter) - after a while that was too "limited" for me. Edgar is a great tool, but $49 a month - that's just too expensive in addition to the many other costs I spend on software every month. Time saving or not. Here too, I couldn't integrate all the networks I wanted.
