Competitor Analysis
The second step concerns the analysis of positioning in relation to competitors. This allows me to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the site and to decide the actions to take during future optimization campaigns. Before carrying out an SEO audit, I usually ask the client to provide me with a list of those he considers his main competitors. It is not a given that these names correspond to the real organic competitors found within the SERPs, on the contrary. To identify organic competitors I use the different SEMrush features, namely the classic Domain Analysis > Organic Research > Competitor and the GAP analysis .

Another aspect that I consider part of the “web presence” chapter is the analysis of the link profile . The analysis of backlinks within an SEO audit is very useful to understand the degree of popularity and authority of the key features of office 365 database site in question, but also to detect any spam links , the result of the malicious strategy of a competitor or a colleague who is not very knowledgeable in the field. The tools that can be used to conduct this research are Majestic, Ahrefs and SEMrush itself .

To carry out a professional SEO Analysis for a website, it is essential to know how to read the data and have advanced horizontal technical knowledge. As already mentioned in the introduction, this checklist does not exhaust all the points that can be taken into consideration during the analysis, but I think it is a good starting point.
