Three times a year, Salesforce offers its customers hundreds of new features and introduces updates that improve existing ones. The releases of these innovations and updates are planned a year in advance and can be identified by the seasons in English: Spring, Summer and Winter.
Thanks to cloud technology, after each release, on a defined date, these functionalities are automatically installed in all organizations, without the need for user intervention. The installations, before being executed in production organizations, are applied in sandboxes (test organizations).
Winter'22 is coming soon and from August 27, 2021, all the new features and improvements are available in the sandboxes, so you can learn about them and try them out.
Feature Release Lifecycle in Salesforce
Each new feature goes through different states during its life cycle:
Pilot Status – functionalities in the first phase of testing that portugal whatsapp lead are deployed to a small group of organizations that requested to participate and were selected to act as pilot test organizations.
BETA status – functionalities that have passed the pilot phase and are now being implemented in all organizations. They have not been fully developed and therefore receive very limited support.
Generally Available (GA) status – features that are fully developed and have passed the previous phases (Pilot and BETA). These are officially included in the latest Salesforce release and are supported.

General improvements in Salesforce
See More Information About Permission Set Licenses
By clicking on the license name now on each detail page, you'll see which users, objects, and custom permissions are available for the license. From the detail page, you'll also be able to view and manage user assignments.
Analysis: Reports and Dashboards

Customizations
Lightning App Builder
Let Org-Specific Metrics Guide Your Lightning Page Performance Improvements
There are several factors that can affect the performance of your Lightning pages at runtime. Performance analysis for App Builder provides recommendations to fix performance issues. You can now check user performance metrics for the past 90 days of usage. This analysis includes user network latency, browser speed, and core count. These metrics will help you decide which recommendations to take or defer.
Salesforce - Organization-Specific Metrics
Improve Page Performance with More Custom Lightning Component Analysis
Performance analysis updates for App Builder now give you more predictions regarding the performance of custom Lightning components on your Lightning pages. Performance analysis alerts you, for example, if your page contains external CSS or unminified JavaScript.
Sharing
Control Access to Sensitive Data with Restriction Rules (GA)
It enables greater security for your data and increased productivity by ensuring that your users see only the records necessary for their job function. You can now also create and manage restriction rules through the Tooling and Metadata APIs and also from Settings.
Control the Default Records Your Users See with Scoping Rules (Beta)
Improve your users' productivity with more accurate search results. You can create scoping rules based on selected criteria so that your users can see only the records that are relevant to them, but without restricting the access they already have to the organization's records.
Profiles and Permissions
Grant Access Based on Activated User Sessions for Permission Set Groups
Give your users only the access they need when they need it. Previously, you created individual permission sets based on sessions, but now you can also set sessions at the permission set group level.
Permission Set Groups
Manage Assignment Expiration in Permission Sets and Permission Set Groups (Beta)
You can now view and update current assignment expirations for your permission sets and permission set groups. Previously, you had to recreate them with the correct expiration date.
Sales
Pipeline Inspection
Save Time by Creating Custom Pipeline Views and Filters
You can now save the pipeline views you use most often and avoid recreating them every time you visit Pipeline Inspection. E.g., custom filters for new deals, teams, time periods, product types, etc.
Hold Sales Reps Accountable for Updating Opportunity Next Steps
An indicator displays when it has been more than 7 days since the last update to an opportunity's Next Step field. This alerts managers and sales reps about the progress of their opportunities.
