I had the pleasure of moderating a round table discussion on the closing day, with the theme: “ From global marketing on large platforms to guerrilla marketing ”, and together with Víctor Mayans (ARTIEM marketing director), David López (Chief Innovation, Commercial & Marketing Officer of Ilunion Hotels), José Serrano (CEO of IZO Spain) and Chris Pomeroy, CEO of ITG, we discussed the new marketing challenges for the hotel sector.
Among tourism trends in Spain , one thing is clear: hotels are not only expanding list of denmark consumer email the horizons of their offerings, but are also reorienting strategies to attract new customers after Covid-19. Building customer loyalty, targeting customer acquisition, and improving the travel experience are priorities.
The roundtable discussed how immediacy is present in the lives of users , who feel agility in responses as a necessity. This pushes tourism experts to review their marketing strategies, to shorten times and to quickly align with what the customer requires.
It was a debate marked by a slight optimism after having overcome the previous months, with the reopening of hotels already a reality. We talked about the volatility and uncertainty of a damaged sector: how do we recover the 7 out of 10 travellers that we were unable to receive last year? What is the formula for attracting customers when the rules of the game have changed so much?
