LOn March 12 and 13, the Leaders In Logistics Summit for logistics professionals was held at the World Trade Center in Barcelona. The event was attended by important personalities from the business area, including the presence of DHL, GXO, Amazon, Maersk, Geopost and Correos, among others.
While the battle between marketplaces and retail media for demand generation is gaining more and more space on the front pages of specialized media, another equally important battle is taking place in parallel, which has to do with the other two thirds of the business: manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics management that require getting packages to the end customer.

Why is the digital operations space relevant in the logistics sector?
According to the successive presentations at the event, the emphasis on logistics lies in using it as a retention factor , as a driver of repurchase, as a lever for sustainability, and as the competitive advantage of being able to do it faster, cheaper and more effectively than your competitor.
How do we do it? By using better data management for smart purchases, greater consolidation options in transport, creating diversified stock at different points in the chain, offering collections from decentralized points, using collection points (PUDO), free shipping, bundles, sustainable deliveries, cross-border solutions, fleet management, reduced friction in returns and other levers that operations require to be carried out successfully.
