One platform follows the other, but no platform offers the business opportunities that LinkedIn currently does. It amazes me that many people still see LinkedIn as a social medium instead of a 'business generator' . It amazes me even more that we only really start using social media platforms for business when they are on their way out.
An example of this was seen in the early years of Facebook, where the early adopters shared the b2b email list most beautiful experiences and went viral. This motivated a lot of people to move to this platform as well. But when Facebook became saturated and the late majority had joined, the number of advertisements increased enormously.
But is this phenomenon an isolated phenomenon? No, we as users first dig in our heels and want to see a proof of concept , but the disadvantage of this is that the platform is already saturated. There is no more organic reach to generate and the advertising price goes through the roof. But how is this possible? This all has to do with "The Law of the Double Peak" .
