Each of the federative entities has particularities, with its own oman mobile database political situations and decision-making structures, as well as socioeconomic and cultural conditions. Factors that directly impact the performance of government relations professionals.
Due to the diversity of information and formats in which it is made available, those who work in monitoring subnational entities need to develop excellent communication and flexibility skills, as strategies will have to be adapted to each new region.
For example, attention to the national scenario and how the issues will relate to the cities of interest, as well as to the movement against it; when local issues influence politicians and national decisions; the difference in internal regulations and local politics, understanding the impact of bench compositions and party relations; the speed of processing of matters; and efficient stakeholder management.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, local legislative bodies have faced increasing demands for decision-making to adopt necessary measures to combat the coronavirus. What lessons have this adverse situation taught RelGov professionals?
I believe that there is a need to be aware of the subnational scenario, and not just the national one, understanding that local decisions are often replicated instantly, in Executive Branch regulations, as well as in legislative matters, which is not always the most appropriate scenario and ends up generating instability and new regulations.
