We invite all travelers, in body or mind, to discover other aspects of Dubrovnik. You will probably only meet Ragusans in these places (these are not local coypus but just the name of the inhabitants of Dubrovnik, the old name being the Republic of Ragusa). All these ideas are accessible on foot or by bus from the old city.

When you arrive in Dubrovnik, your eyes will probably fall on old truemoney data buildings or houses that are visibly uninhabited, or even abandoned. For the most part, these houses were requisitioned by the government under Tito. Their owners were excluded and flouted with losses and fracas. Some of the owners have since disappeared, or others are trying to recover their property, but even today, it is an obstacle course for them. I suggest you discover one of them by wandering in its gardens. These are a maze of stairs and terraces, each more romantic than the last, clinging to the rocks overlooking the sea, all in the middle of tall trees. You will sometimes even have the impression of being in a medieval fortress. The gate is never closed, you have to dare to push it. You will not be able to enter the house but will be enchanted by this magical setting designed like a castle by the sea, by a rich merchant of the time who suddenly found himself evicted from his home. Push the gate at this GPS point: 42.646697, 18.094240, 10-15 minutes walk from the citadel (side "Pile").
