The video surveillance market has been developing dynamically lately, and the situation on it is changing. On the one hand, several years ago, large Chinese players entered this market and the average price of cameras is decreasing, and on the other hand, there is a transition from simple installation of a video surveillance portugal whatsapp data to solving business problems. How Axis Communications responds to new challenges and what steps it is taking were discussed at the company's partner conference, which was held at the end of October.
Situation in the industry
Recently, the level of tasks set by customers has increased. According to Alexey Mayorov, Axis Sales Director in Russia, if earlier it was enough to simply install a video surveillance system and configure a camera, now people are starting to think about why exactly they need such a system, and the cost of the equipment is not as important as the ability to solve specific, sometimes quite complex tasks.
In other words, customers act thoughtfully, understanding what benefits they can get, and look at how the video surveillance system will affect the operation of the enterprise over time. In this regard, the expertise of both the camera manufacturer and the integrator who creates the solution comes to the fore.
First of all, this concerns the quality of the equipment. According to Alexey Mayorov, the company focuses on functionality, with 17% of profits going to research and development. Although cameras remain the main line of business, the company also produces video encoders, video servers, audio systems, accessories, software for video management, data storage, video analytics, access control, and will soon begin to supply radars integrated with cameras.
