First, ask yourself the question

Post by jrineakter »

The second lesson that comes from the first is that there is a trick that can allow you to never lack motivation, whatever the circumstances, everyone can do it. What do you think it is? I have already more or less mentioned the answer. It is to never force yourself. Do not force yourself to learn French, never force yourself. Understand that your problem does not come from you, it is not your fault, it is not because you are a person who does not have motivation, it is not your fault. Your problem is that you force yourself. And if you force yourself, it is because either you do not have real motivation, or you use content that bores you. Your mission for the next few days is therefore twofold.

we should all be asking ourselves all the time: Why? Children ask this question all the time and they are right. It is a shame that as adults we lose this ability. Before doing anything, we should always ask ourselves why. Ask yourself why you want to learn French. What is your motivation? Why should you spend hours and hours working on your French? Is it for your family, for your job? Or is it because it is your hobby, because you love France? Ask yourself the question "why?"

And secondly, look for content that interests you, look for content that you are passionate about. Don't listen to content just because it is in French. If you don't like doing grammar exercises, don't do them. Grammar is important, of course, but if you understand the content of this video, I don't think your priority is to increase or saudi arabia whatsapp number data improve your grammar. Do you like cooking? Watch videos in French that talk about cooking. Do you like football? Watch videos in French that talk about football. Do you like reading? Read in French. Are you passionate about personal development? Listen to my personal development podcast every Wednesday, Marchez avec Johan .

And above all, don't feel bad. Just because you do something with pleasure doesn't mean it's not useful. Sometimes we feel bad, we say to ourselves: "It wasn't work because it was fun". No, that's not it. It has to be fun for it to work. The adage sometimes used by the Anglo-Saxons "no pain no gain", which basically means if you don't have pain, if you don't suffer, well you don't benefit, you don't gain anything, I find it a bit exaggerated. I really think that you can gain without pain. You can very well improve your French without suffering. And I would redefine this proverb by saying "no pain but I gain", no pain but I still gain, but I still have the benefits.

Of course, sometimes you have to push yourself a little, you have to motivate yourself, otherwise you would spend your day in bed. So I'm not saying that motivation is useless. We need to motivate ourselves, to get started. It's especially the start that is difficult.

Like everyone else, I sometimes don't feel like doing certain things. Sometimes I don't really feel like recording videos or podcasts, it happens to me, but I know that since I'll enjoy doing it, I just have to force myself, push myself a little at the start and that for the rest I don't need motivation because I'm enjoying it.

So you understood that motivation was a weapon to be used in moderation. It is just there to help us get started. And once we have started, everything is easy when we love what we do. So good luck to you and above all, don't forget: don't force yourself.
