I encountered a somewhat anxious

Post by jrineakter »

And sorry to remind you, but the present is the only moment in which we can truly live. We cannot live in the future. The future is an illusion. We can only live in the present. And by forgetting to feel gratitude, by thinking only of the future and all the things we wish to have, well we forget to simply live.

So the ideal is to balance gratitude with ambition, balance in the sense of balance. You have to be happy with what you have today. You have to feel gratitude for all the things you have, because you are lucky to have them. If we had been taken by illness when we were young, we would not have what we have today. So you have to feel gratitude, be happy to have what you have while trying to develop yourself and trying to improve your situation. So we balance, we balance ambition, projects, objectives, personal development, with gratitude, that is to say the fact of being happy with everything you can have today. So be happy with what you have and stop living in the future.

I'm telling you this, but recently and stressful situation, I had a very bad day. And it was actually... I woke up a little tired, a little melancholic, a little sad, for no reason and I had quite a few small technical problems at work, small personal details that annoyed me. And suddenly, I didn't feel good. I told myself "it's a bad day". I was a little sad.

And I tried to think about it and I thought that ultimately my worst day, it represents the dream for the majority of the world's population. The majority of people who live on Earth would dream of having my worst day.

And somewhere, it's an insult to them to be sad or anxious when I have a day that is a little less good than others, because they are not so lucky, they suffer. There are sick people, there are mexico whatsapp number data people who live in very poor countries, where there is no prospect of evolution, there are people who are condemned to have a life that will be very very difficult, and they would dream of having my worst day.

My worst day is still a day in which I can see my children, I can enjoy their health, I can work on a project that is close to my heart, Authentic French. So even my worst day, it would be the dream day of the majority of people in the world and I really have to feel grateful for that.

And in this wonderful book that I introduced to you earlier by Dale Carnegie, he takes an example and asks a question, it's the question we saw in the introduction with Céline: Would you trade your eyes for a billion euros? Of course not. Would you trade your parents or your children or your best friend for a billion euros? Of course not.

So in the end, if you think about it, we already have things in our lives that are priceless, that are worth billions of euros. We are richer than people who are multi-billionaires. And you have to be happy about that and you have to feel gratitude for that. So I try to remember that in the morning when I wake up, to remember it at night when I go to bed.
