itWeek: What is the place of cloud models in your company’s business?

D.K.: of network security tools. At first, we were only engaged in creating software, but in recent years our activities have shifted towards supplying complete solutions, including those based on hardware and software systems of our own design. But these are still products, not services. Now we are starting to develop the direction of service development, including in cooperation with cloud providers.

itWeek: You said that clouds have not eliminated interstate borders. How does your company overcome these borders in its business?

If we talk about the compliance of our products with foreign regulatory requirements, this is not a technical issue, but a financial one: additional efforts are simply needed to go through all the certification procedures, and there is no need for any special modification of our tools to meet other requirements. In addition, in many countries, certification procedures are much simpler than in Russia. The exception is Belarus, where such requirements are stricter, but we should complete all certification procedures in this country in the near future. And, for example, in Europe there is no need to certify technical means of protection at all; there are requirements for the methods of specific use of such tools, but this is no longer our concern as a developer, but the provider who uses our products in their specific systems.
