The Central Bank of Brazil confirmed, this Thursday (15), the leak of personal data linked to 8,032 PIX keys under the custody of BTG Pactual . The incident occurred due to specific failures in the institution's systems.

This exposed information such as name, masked CPF (some numbers hidden), financial institution, branch, account number and type. However, the BC assured that sensitive data, such as passwords, financial balances or transaction information, were not compromised.

However, the leak increases the risk of phishing scams, where criminals may try to trick victims using the exposed information.
