It is an open clash between two opposing visions: those who believe that Data Driven marketing will kill creativity and those who think that without the use of data - even more so if "big" - marketers are groping in the dark. But is it really like this? Is there really a war going on between data and creativity? Between new technologies and ideas? No, here's why.
Marketing is about people

The purpose of marketing has always been to build brands that touch the list of bahrain consumer email hearts and minds of people. Insight - or the ability to see inside a situation - has always been the center of every advertising strategy on which creatives, over the years, have been able to develop great creative campaigns.

Agencies once had the means and time to do accurate strategic work and seek relevant insights for the target a brand wanted to reach. Today, they lack the budget to do these analyses.

Data Driven marketing starts right here. At a much lower cost, technology allows brands to collect detailed information about users, their interests, their doubts and their interactions. Data that must be sifted, classified, interpreted by human intelligence.

If we look at the data as a starting point, and not a finishing point, the hatred towards them loses its meaning.

Marketing is about ideas
