This term is used to describe the resolution of a legal dispute that does not occur in court. It is a term that refers to the various strategies that individuals employ to settle their disputes outside of the courtroom. The steps involved in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) are mediation, arbitration, and neutral evaluation. Regular judicial proceedings are much more complicated and stressful than these alternative processes, which are simpler and less stressful.
