Talent Days!
Talent Days: Hi! First of all, please tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from? How old are you? Maybe you can tell us a fun fact about yourself or a hidden talent?
Paulina: Hi, I'm Paulina, I'm 20 years old and I come from Wołomin, but I study and work in Warsaw. In primary school I always got straight A's in technical writing, so I guess it can be considered my talent and fun fact at the same time.
Talent Days: Interesting talent! And how did you find out about our Talent Days fair?
Paulina: I found out from the careers office at my university. I was also in the process of changing jobs, looking for new employment, so everything came together perfectly. I was looking for new challenges, because I had already achieved everything I could in my job at the time and I had no prospects for development.
Talent Days: What kind of offers were you looking for at Talent Days? What industries were you interested in?
Paulina: I didn't have a specific industry in mind. I was more interested in finding a part-time job, because I study full-time, which means that my studies take up 2 days a week. I study economics and international business, so I was also interested in finding a job related to these fields.
Talent Days: What is the deciding factor for you when choosing/not choosing a job at a given location?
Paulina: I think that, like for most young people these days, it's work-life balance. Also, the possibility of combining studies with work. Now I'm in my third year of studies and I would like to finish my bachelor's degree full-time.
Talent Days: Were you able to find such a job during Talent Days?
Paulina: I was hired by TVN Warner Bros. Discovery. I ended up in the sports department and I feel very good there, although I didn't expect it at first.
Talent Days: Do you feel like this is a challenge for you? Were there any tasks that allowed you to fulfill yourself and gain new skills?
Paulina: Absolutely. At first, these were simple tasks. I had never worked in such a position before, so it was something completely new to me and I needed time to get used to it. Over time, I started getting new tasks that required carrying out various analyses. We are currently reaching a point where the responsibilities are increasing. I am glad that the company is setting me more and more challenges.
