However, campaign volume is significantly lower on weekends, which may skew the data. What time of day generates the most open rates? During the weekdays, once we exclude outliers, the highest engagement occurs between mid-afternoon and mid-afternoon local time. On weekends, campaigns sent around the morning have higher open rates, but fewer campaigns are sent during this period. A general summary of the findings In terms of total number of campaigns sent and total opens, weekdays outperformed weekends. Campaigns sent on Monday had above-average open rates. Timing is crucial: emails sent early in the morning on weekends and mid-to-late afternoon on weekdays get better results.
