The phrase “Make in India” was used to launch a broader economic initiative by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on September 25, 2014. It is a comprehensive campaign aimed at promoting domestic manufacturing, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), fostering innovation, and positioning India as a global manufacturing hub.
