If you are one of the authors or bloggers who make money from your blog, then you have nothing to be ashamed of or apologize for.
I, for one, will not apologize for thinking entrepreneurially as an author. Because that is the only way I can remain an author in the long term - if I can make a living from my art.
“For an author, money means more time to write.”
– Frank Herbert
Money is not important to me, but it is in my account and enables me to be creative.

Too many bloggers are driven by fear. They ramble around as if they have no balls. They fear the critic.
Let me tell you something: the critic doesn't count.
History remembers the "poets and thinkers" and not the "critics and complainers". The gladiator in the arena writes history, not the spitting and moaning spectator in the stands.
And even if you fail, you fail because you wanted to reach for the stars and not settle for low hanging fruit.
Without an opinion, you will sink in the grey sea of socially acceptable corporate blogs and not even Google will remember you.
