Next step: intranet content on smartphones

We have now been able to gain knowledge about social media and what drives users for about 8 years. Yet there are still whole tribes of people who sell social media with 'a social media strategy'. This remains a persistent and strange proposition in marketing communication. It is quite close to the denial of a strategic focus. In this, the intention with which policy is shaped is subordinate to the tools and software that often appear to be the goal of that policy.
I recently had an interesting conversation with a colleague in the field of digital internal communication – which is sometimes abbreviated to “intranet”, although these terms are not synonymous. But anyway. The conversation was about the history of innovations, the innovations of today and those of the near future. So in our conversation we drifted down to the theme of mobile. What is the current situation with mobile intranet? Did I see anything in it? My conversation partner suggested a diagram for the current strategic trend as a starting point: Content >> Social >> Mobile.
Information, social and mobile form an interesting combination of elements, canada telegram data which are of course often mentioned together in our era. With the three topics of conversation in the diagram, you can fill an entire day. Of course, we were interested in the story behind this diagram – and the thought process behind it. The explanation for the diagram was that mobile intranet is the next step in innovation. That makes sense. If you look around you, the rise of smartphones is very clear. The impact of this on our society and culture is undeniable. For that reason alone, it is expected that mobile phones will be able to unlock intranet content at some point in the near future .
Whereof note.
However, simply signaling this trend is not the purpose of the diagram. In that case, it would only confirm something that has been happening in our face for a long time . And with that, as a visionary or strategist, you no longer get your hands together (as easily as before). No, the purpose of this diagram is the platform, in this case the mobile phone. We have to do something with that. The diagram is a means to push that idea.
