Whenever I come across an exciting story, I write it down in my digital notebook (Evernote).

Something like this:

– Wilma Rudolph, polio until 11, but still won three gold medals at the Olympics –> Talent issue?

This creates a small but very valuable collection of stories that I can draw on.

You can often find such little stories and anecdotes in non-fiction books such as “ Mastery ”*, “ Talent is Overrated ”* or “ Think and Grow Rich ”*.

Because good authors always include stories in their books. Good books contain many small examples that you can use for your blog articles.

Why reinvent the wheel?

Simply write the stories in your swipe file.

Do you think that's uncreative? Then use these stories to turn them into a creative writing exercise . Give the story a new ending.

An eagle sees a mouse from over 3km high.

3 kilometers!

Because his eye is made for it.

A good writer can see a good sentence from 3km away.

You can do this too if you train your eye and consciously look for one thing: quotes.

We all know the worn-out quotes we see on Facebook every day, like “Don’t dream your life, live your dream.”
