Worse, it was using a huge spreadsheet to answer these questions. Unsurprisingly, it wasn’t producing great results.

Battles’ team used the work on finding suppliers to replace the spreadsheet with an app that would help the call center save time and avoid customer frustration. Better yet, members could simply go to Humana’s website and quickly find a testing location, bypassing the call center. The app was built in four weeks, compared with the six to nine months Battles estimated it would have taken the traditional way.
