“ Keywords for search engine optimization – Do I actually still need them these days?” – Christian asked me this question in my webinar series.

In short, the answer is yes – but of course there is much more to it than that. Want to know why I answered that way and whether I think it will stay that way in the future? Then read on!

To understand the importance of benin telegram screening keywords for position in Google, I have to go into a bit of detail.

Let's go back to 1998.

Now you might be thinking, “Oh God, Grandma is telling us about the war!” – but it won’t be that bad, I promise!

Until 1998, if you wanted to find good content on the Internet, you had to search for a long time. The qualities of a truffle pig and a pearl diver were required, namely a keen nose and a long breath. The "search engines" of the time were, for example, Lycos, Yahoo, Altavista or Metager. (Older people will remember...) There was also the DMOZ directory , which was a badge of nobility for your own website if you were listed there.

These search engines, or rather portals, did not automatically search the Internet as Google does today, but rather relied on website operators to register their sites there and, if possible, categorize them at the same time. In many cases, the entries were then checked manually and the inclusion of a site in such a directory could take a long time.
