In your experience, which social networks play the biggest role for consultants, service providers, trainers or speakers

Kixka Nebraska: Apart from the fact that it varies somewhat from industry to industry and also depends on how internationally active the person is, LinkedIn, XING and Facebook are still the most relevant networks today. I think Twitter is more of a complementary tool for certain industries and is now increasingly interesting for events.
Many of the specialist discussions have now shifted from XING to Facebook, so that in my opinion the main thing to look at is where the networks in which someone is active in the analogue world can be found in the digital world.
Question: What does the perfect Facebook profile look like for a knowledge holder who wants to present and engage in his or her professional identity?
Kixka Nebraska: If I can assume that it is actually a personal profile and not a fan page, the profile should be able to be subscribed to, which has to be activated separately. The profile should be up to date, contain all important links to other websites and profiles, and clear contact options and preferences.
It is becoming increasingly important to show on a visual level, on the one hand, which topic the knowledge holder focuses on, and on the other hand, to show this person in action. Moving images and moving live images can be added as a supplement, but I would approach the topic step by step. In Germany, the imprint should not be forgotten on Facebook as soon as the profile is used professionally.

Question: What do entrepreneurs and decision-makers most often do wrong when setting up new profiles and filling them with content?
Kixka Nebraska: It's true: They set the visibility of their twitter data profile to the lowest level, mistakenly don't post anything publicly and are surprised that "this digital networking" doesn't work at all. I've experienced this several times in my consultations. The key tip is to regularly check the external view of your profiles for the public - and to be sure to serve this outside world with public posts just as regularly.
Question: Which social networks do you use yourself and what do you pay particular attention to?
Kixka Nebraska: I mainly use Facebook for work, especially the specialist groups, such as Digital Media Women, which now has over 11,200 members and offers a lot of added value. XING comes second, Linkedin third. In my private life I still like using Tumblr and in my free time I am active in the very large Google+ Ingress community.
The consistency of my profiles is important to me in all of my appearances: my profile pictures are now slightly different almost everywhere, but because of my hair color there is actually something of a common thread. My header pictures all show an identical motif, albeit in slight variations, so that recognition is very easy.
