Factors that influence local SEO and that we can control

If someone searches for a business and we are two blocks away from that person, we will appear ahead of those of our competitors who are 2 kilometers away (this is true as long as we have well-optimized the Google My Business listing).

If we are in a very competitive sector and we are far from the area in which the user is searching, it will be difficult for us to appear in the top 3 positions on Google maps.

There is little we can do about this, but as Google is constantly working on its algorithm , this current advantage due to proximity can be lost at any time.

This is further confirmed if users' behavior is to make more than one query to find another business in the sector even if it is further away.

Beyond location, which we cannot control, one of the most important aspects when working on local positioning is to always use the same NAP.

Although it may seem like a very strange name, it is nothing kuwait mobile database more than the English acronym for name, address and telephone number (Name, Address, Phone).

As we will see throughout this post, your company's NAP will appear in many places.

To explain all the factors that influence this type of SEO, we are going to differentiate between On-Page factors (within the page itself) and Off-Page factors (actions to be carried out outside the business website).

To support your local SEO strategy, it is also interesting to add a Google map with the location of your business on your website.

To do this, you can create a custom map using the Google “My Maps” tool.
