SERP Features
We also analyzed Google mobile vs. desktop results for any changes in the frequency with which certain SERP features appeared:

Device choice didn’t seem to matter for Top Stories, Local Pack, and Other User Questions, but desktop users were twice as likely to get a Google Ad and Featured Snippet. Mobile users indonesia mobile database viewed 12.5 times more images and 3 times more videos in organic search.

Key aspects to consider in the mobile-first era
Desktop may have had a bit of a resurgence in 2020, but there’s only one direction for our search experiences and it’s headed straight for mobile. There are three actions you can take toward the mobile future (you can also explore mobile-first indexing in more detail in our how-to video ).

1. Gather insights on your competitors' and industry's traffic trends

Use tools like Semrush Traffic Analytics to identify market averages and benchmarks. If most key players within your niche get 60% of their traffic from mobile devices, but you only get 30%, check your site for potential issues like slow loading speeds or site architecture.

2. Evaluate your own mobile performance regularly and act quickly

Use the Position Tracking tool to get daily updates on your mobile rankings for target keywords in your preferred location. By monitoring unique metrics like Visibility (based on your SERP positions and CTR estimates) and Share of Voice (Visibility + keyword search volume and traffic estimates), you can track changes in your online presence and react accordingly to outperform the competition.

3. Ensure multiple touchpoints across all devices

Don’t assume that users will only interact with you on one device – the reality is that they will likely use both mobile and desktop in the purchasing process. Optimize for mobile and make it easy for people to switch to desktop to complete a purchase, allowing them to save shopping carts, for example.
