Most of the time, manufacturers are selling large volumes of products.
Because of this, being able to use past order history/data to anticipate customer needs can provide a radical boost in results. How? Let’s use an example customer called Sneakers. Here’s the flow:
In January Sneakers asks for a specific type of leather.
Every 30 days that pass without finland email list Sneakers placing an order again, an automated email will be sent.
The email will list some of the products you may be most interested in, as well as the most popular leather types (information based on your previous Sneakers order history).
If no order is placed within 60 days, an automated internal notification is sent to a person on the sales team to follow up with Sneakers via a personalized phone call.
Every 90 days, a summary email will be sent containing the products ordered by Sneakers in the previous quarter. In that email, there will also be a "featured" product and a discounted offer.
Additional tactic
If your integration can sync order quantity, you can use personalization tokens to create messages like:
"Hello Peter,
You recently ordered [insert product quantity here] of [insert product here]. As a courtesy, we wanted to let you know that it's been X days since your last order.
Also, I wanted to let you know that [insert featured product name/link] is currently on sale for 20% off with purchase of X units or more."
Advice
As you can see, this tactic uses pretty basic data that comes from having your systems integrated (from the ordering system to the marketing automation tool). These types of hyper-personalized messages can be crucial among manufacturers who need to make quick decisions about which supplier to choose and have little time to do so.
