Google My Business descriptions used to be an option within Google My Business, but suddenly disappeared. In the meantime, the descriptions are back. And I am happy about that, because now you as an entrepreneur can decide for yourself what a potential visitor reads about your company. Google will sometimes still link its own description to your company, but by adding your own description, you can inform your target group even better about what makes you so unique.

For your description, you have a maximum of 750 characters, but it might be good to know that only the first 250 of these will be shown. There are also a number of guidelines that you must adhere to.
