The STF is the highest court in Brazil. Every year, thousands of cases arrive at the Supreme Court for analysis.

This large volume of work can be very difficult to organize and resolve quickly.

The president of the STF, minister Luís Roberto Barroso , said during the launch that technology is essential for the future of Justice.

“If the Justice system does not use the available technologies, it will not be able to meet the demands of society,” stated Barroso.

With the use of the MARIA robot, the STF hopes to reduce the time spent analyzing processes.

The idea is that civil servants and ministers can focus on more important parts of their bosnia and herzegovina phone number library work, while the robot takes care of repetitive tasks, such as writing reports.

Regulation of Artificial Intelligence advances in the Senate

How does the MARIA robot work?
The operation of the MARIA robot is simple but very efficient. First, the artificial intelligence receives data from a process, such as documents and old decisions.

Then, he does an initial analysis , organizing the information in a clear and logical way.

For example:

When receiving an extraordinary appeal (RE) , the robot can summarize the case based on questions already defined by the STF. These questions guide the robot, helping it identify the most important facts.
In complaints (RCLs) , the robot can prepare an initial study on the case. This makes the work of the servers easier, who receive the organized information.
The content generated by the bot is not final. It will be reviewed and edited by servers in STF-Digital , the system integrated into the tool.
