Why are titles so critical? Just as blogs are no longer read but scanned, tweets are read after retweeting (or not at all) at a high rate. They are in competition with the rest of the timeline for attention. The trick is to create retweetable tweets:
1. Limit your tweet to 115-120 characters, leaving room for people to add, e.g. “Nice post RT @yourtwitter New post.” Don’t discourage people who don’t like the automated retweet feature from adding their own comments.
