Mobile-friendly experience

Personalize
Everyone is unique, a truth that also applies to your customers. Dividing them into different target groups is therefore a good start, but why not take it a step further? After all, it is quite possible that someone has booked a camping holiday in Spain with you in the past as well as a five-star overnight stay in Dubai. Or that someone has only booked camping holidays with you and even always visits the same region in France.

By not splitting your customers into different mailing lists, but instead personalizing the emails you send, you can send people last-minute offers that are even more relevant to their needs. In better email marketing systems, for example, it is possible to send one email to a large group of people, and to align the content blocks within that email with certain database criteria. This makes it possible to send everyone their own, personal email in which you make offers that match their different interests.

With a majority of all internet traffic coming high school senior mailing list from mobile devices , it’s always a good idea for online travel companies to offer their visitors a mobile-friendly experience. However, Criteo’s Travel Flash Report shows that this is even more true for last-minute bookings. The report shows that the closer an online booking is made to the departure date, the more often a smartphone is used.

Anyone who wants to profit from the last-minute season is therefore wise to make their emails, landing pages and booking process mobile proof. Make sure that your emailings adapt to the screen size of their recipient and do the same with your website. For the latter, you can of course also choose to direct traffic to a separate mobile website, or by offering your customers a booking app.

Whatever form you choose to offer mobile-friendly content, keep in mind that mobile internet connections are not always that fast. It may seem obvious that you should not use heavy images in emails and web pages, but in practice it turns out that an average web page consists of more than 2 MB of data.
