Talk to and test your target audience

Post by arzina998 »

Recruitment is seduction
Therefore, seduce your job seekers with strong images and not just with text. Work from seduction in your entire UX design, the images and/or videos. Make sure that the experience for your visitor (the landing) is so interesting that you know for sure that this visitor (and also job seeker) will continue reading. Make sure that he seriously spends time and attention on your page in order to then apply. Every photo that is fantastic instead of good and every video that is great instead of okay, already makes a few percent difference in the conversion of the number of applicants.

Who do you want to seduce and how do you do that?
You know exactly which target group you want to seduce: those hard-to-reach ICT professionals, that group of teachers, or the passionate club of techies. Always make sure that the image and video material are in line with the target group. Your corporate website is often focused on business, your work-at site is focused on attracting good people. Below are three examples of 'work-at' sites.

Don't know exactly what your target heavy construction industry email list group is sensitive to? Talk to them! If you're not sure what moves the people you want to reach, you can fill in a lot, make assumptions and then miss the mark. A/B testing is used to discover online which image or video converts best.

Custom material
Photos and videos are always custom-made. Never use Hollywood Smile stock footage. Take the time and effort to have professional photos taken of your company, the workplaces and your team. As a visitor, you want to see real people, not nonsense. The photos must match the company culture.

What requirements does your work-at site have to meet technically?
1. Responsive
A modern careers website is of course responsive. No brainer!

2. Speed
Your careers website needs to be blazing fast. A very important point on which Google determines where you are when people search for your vacancies is the speed of your website. Test the speed of your current website here and you will immediately know where you stand.
